You have to be living under a rock if you didn't see or hear about the excitement during yesterdays game against the packers! I mean when all odds seemed against us and even fans started having doubts...the MIGHTY HAWKS DID WHAT THEY DO BEST which is RISE ABOVE it all to SOAR TO THE TOP! I mean are you frigging kidding me!!!!!!!! SeaHawks down 19-7 with about 2 minutes left in the 4th quarter and they come back to win the game 28-22 in OT! That is nothing but a miracle from God! I'm kind of happy that it happened that way. Why? Simple....to shut down the non-believers and to just let Gods miraculous wonders unfold!
One thing that I've noticed from the SeaHawk haters & non believers >>> is that they feel that if they throw enough shade...talk enough shit...keep disrespecting the squad....>>>that it will somehow make real 12's lose faith in their team...stop supporting them...or even better yet break the bond between the SeaHawk players and their fans. smh. Don't you get it???!!!!! Our bond is unbreakable. If you are a true believer in God then you understand the full meaning of "Walk by Faith, not by Sight". There is no if's...and's....or but's about it. Faith is faith and that is one of the reasons I love the SeaHawks! Yes it feels good to rep for my city, but when it all boils down...I AM A SEAHAWKS FAN because of their ability to "PUT GOD FIRST", the belief that they have within themselves/their team, the love for the 12's and knowing the power behind never giving up! I try to apply these same ethics to my own life. In being an emcee, radio host, writer, etc (who happens to be a black female), I have faced a lot of hate, disrespect & just no real support. At the end of the day all you really have is yourself & God, you just have to believe!
So the SeaHawks...Lucky? I think not. The power of prayer does not revolve around luck. If you believe it...you will receive it!!!! Plain & simple! Much love to the 2015 NFC Champs >>> the Seattle SeaHawks. Can't wait for the magic to unfold at the SuperBowl!!! Much love & respect!

As always, I'm looking for good hip-hop. It's been a tall order in years past. But, as I have more than likely said once, this seems to be something of a golden age of hip-hop.
This is what brings me to Sour Power 2, the latest release from our friends and MCs at Gilla House.
Being familiar with both Runt Dawg and Redman from past projects and past reviews I expected nothing but a stellar effort.
The Brick City didn't disappoint on that front. I was bombarded with pleasing Sonics and even more pleasing rhymes.
Here are some standout tracks in my humble opinion:
I have to start with "Nigga Whut!!" simply because it has to be my favorite from an effort full of gems. On this one Redman raps over a throbbing beat and has punch lines for days. I had to listen to it a few times to catch them all and I'm certain there are still a few that escaped me...and I personally love that! Few MCs can do that and I appreciate one who can!
"HammerTime" is another Redman heavy track. To my own discerning ear the introduction sounds like it would truly be at home among Blaxploitation films. It strikes a bit more with braggadocio than anything but it is well delivered all the same time.
"Mr. Williams 2 U" is pure and amazing as Runt Dawg comes through over trumpet heavy production to tell a loose rags to riches story. It's a middle finger to those who doubt him [Runt] and his ambitions as a rhymer.
